Fight Fire with Facts

United States Fire Administration, a division of FEMA

Since 1974, the United States Fire Administration was organized to help combat the ever increasing number of fire fatalities in the country.  The United States Fire Administration is now a division of the Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Department of Homeland Security.  Almost every fire that occurs in the United States is reported to the United States Fire Administration.  The Administration's web page contains statistics, facts, and lots of fun stuff for kids.  Everyone should check out this website for information and tips on fire prevention and safety.

In partnership with the U.S. Fire Administration, the Mason City Fire Department has  here on its website the Fight Fire with Facts series of short tip sheets on a variety of fire prevention and fire safety tips.  We encourage everyone to take a few minutes and look them over.

The tip sheets here are just a small sampling of information available on the United States Fire Administration's website.  Check it out!!!!
