One on One Mentoring Project - Cerro Gordo County

Are you interested in being a friend and role model to an area youth? We are looking for volunteers who are interested in spending time with youth in grades kindergarten-12th grade.  Mentoring Coordinators provide training, support, and plan group activities for mentors .  This program focuses on fun and relationship building.   Many pairs have built lasting relationships and have been together for multiple years!

There are two types of mentoring:

o   Individual mentoring- One mentor and one youth are matched (same gender) may meet at school or outside of school.  A one year commitment is required.

o   Team mentoring- a perfect opportunity for friends, family members, or co-workers to volunteer together outside of school.  2-3 adults may be matched with 2-4 youth.  A one year commitment is required.

Are you interested in being a mentor or signing up your child to be involved?  Please see the tabs on the top left of this page.
