Welcome to the Mason City Parks System!
The Mason City Parks Department manages the City’s parks and trails on over 600 acres of land. Current parks range in size from the .28 acre Lewis Kipper Park to the 81.07 acre Lester Milligan Park. There are also more than 57 miles of biking/walking trails that run throughout the City. Playground equipment, shelters, walking and biking trails, basketball and tennis courts, sledding hills and fitness equipment are just a few of the many of the amenities offered within our parks system.
Shelter houses can be rented from May to September. The season for the availability of conveniences of restrooms and drinking fountains operating on a daily basis runs from April 15 through October 15. Park hours are 6 am to 11 pm daily.
