Commercial and Industrial Stormwater

Commercial and Industrial Stormwater Credit Policy

Beginning January 1, 2025, the City will move to a system for commercial and industrial properties with fees calculated based on the number of Equivalent Residential Units (ERU) of impervious surface area.  An ERU is defined by the City Code as 4,500 square feet of impervious surface area, and this structure was implemented for residential properties beginning July 1, 2024. Commercial and industrial properties that implement and maintain stormwater best management practices (BMPs) are eligible for credits of up to 40% of the calculated fee.  The deadline to file for a credit for the initial billing is December 2.

Questions regarding the policy or its implementation may be addressed to the Engineering Department at 641-421-3605.
